In the heart of Holbox Island lies Wáay, a boutique inspired by the mystique of María Sabina’s poem “Cúrate mijita” (Heal Yourself, My Little One). All the pieces here are of Mexican origin, handcrafted by artisans from different parts of Mexico.
The owner curates the pieces, bringing in authentic treasures: designer jewelry, pre-Hispanic pottery, textiles, blown glass, and a wide variety of quartz and crystals from around the world. Wáay is also its own brand, featuring casual, elegant, and contemporary clothing, all handmade from 100% Mexican cotton.
This charming boutique also houses a space for the Sakpo brand, offering handcrafted personal care products made with ingredients from the Yucatán Peninsula.
