Inspired by the sea and cowrie shells, Ajé is one of the most welcoming shops in Holbox. From the moment you step inside, it’s like entering a universe within the sea. And yes, since its opening in 2025, the creators have ensured that this is exactly what it is.
Imagine what’s in the sea: fish, squid, crabs, seahorses, dolphins, sharks, etc… And now, on Holbox beach, flamingos, lounge chairs, raccoons, sand, seashells… In its own unique style, this shop offers everything from silver and gold-plated jewelry with marine and beach motifs to inflatables, sunglasses, swimsuits, beachwear, and souvenirs for the whole family, all inspired by the Holbox sea and featuring handcrafted products from all over Mexico. The designs for t-shirts, caps, and souvenirs are designed and created by the owners, intended for use on any occasion.
Ajé is located across from the park, right in front of the taxi stand. It’s unmistakable because from outside, under a palapa, you can appreciate the underwater world.
