Holbox is a small and picturesque fishing village that has basically all of the necessary tourist services. The Town is rustic and still has some typical Mayan Cabanas, colorful wooden houses with palm tree rooftops a walk on its broad sandy streets is a delight since there are no paved roads or streets in the Island. There are several options for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the offer is wide and inteded to satisfy the most demanding palates. Most of the food in the Island is made from the fresh catch of the day. Lobster is one of the Island’s biggest attractions freshly caught Lobster is available starting July 1st. to December 31st. when the season ends. Holbox is a quiet Island away from noisy touristy party destinations as Cancun or Playa del Carmen. Holbox visitors appreciate nature and it’s preservation. You can sit and enjoy a refreshing drink at the beach, ride a bike from side to side, walk the entire island’s sandy streets or ride horse along the shore at sunset. Sunset romantic tours are available. Nightlife in Holbox is rather quiet but there a couple of bars and rooftops you can crash, some pretty interesting fiestas at The Hot Corner.
